Board Elections

Somehow, between the matches, group chats, court hunts, and calendar wrangling, our members have built something pretty special — because MTG is 100% run by volunteers.

And what a year it’s been. An unforgettable Liberty Open, a record-breaking Summer Ladder, and so much more — with plenty of year still to come.

Now we’re looking for the next generation of leaders to help shape what comes next.

Whether you’re interested in running or voting, here’s everything you need to know.

Board Roles

Five MTG Board positions are open for two-year terms beginning January 1, 2027

Courts & Events Director

Help shape the experiences that bring MTG members together on court.

Plan MTG's on-court events, including Winter Doubles League, Summer Ladder, Drill & Play, and Doubles Parties

Work with tennis clubs and facilities

Develop new playing opportunities for members

Coordinate with Board members, committees, and volunteers

Treasurer

Help ensure MTG has the financial foundation to keep growing.

Maintain financial records and complete annual tax filings
Oversee budgeting and financial reporting

Monitor income and expenses across MTG programs and activities

Oversee sponsorship income
Support MTG's overall financial health

Women's Director

Help represent women members and foster an active, welcoming community.

Develop and oversee women's tennis parties, social activities, and events
Create opportunities for women members to connect on and off the court
Recruit new members and encourage greater participation
Bring women's feedback, ideas, and concerns to the Board
Work with Board members, committees, and volunteers to bring programs to life

Membership Director

Help make membership a great experience from joining through renewal.

Respond to membership questions, including joining and renewals

Process membership applications

Maintain the membership database

Support general membership needs

Technology Director

Help make the systems behind MTG work better.

Manage MTG's website and online platforms, including WildApricot

Support registration and payment systems

Maintain digital tools and documentation

Oversee data management and security

Drive technology improvements across MTG

Application & Candidate Statement

Interested in running? Complete the Application & Candidate Statement by October 30.

Submissions will be used to help MTG members learn about the candidates and may be published on the MTG Elections webpage and in member-facing election communications. Please keep this in mind when completing the form.

Eligible candidates must:

Be an MTG member in good standing for at least 12 months

Have the skills and bandwidth to fulfill the role

Be able to attend monthly Board meetings

Have no conflicts of interest that would interfere with Board responsibilities

Applications open October 1 and close October 30.

Voting

Voting is open to MTG members only. During the November voting window, members will receive an email with information about the candidates and instructions for voting. Make sure your MTG membership is active so you can participate.
