Drill & Play comes to Brooklyn in 2012-13!!  Come work on your serve,  ground strokes, volleys and overheads!

This event is currently limited to twelve (12) people, but if there a strong demand, we will try to secure another court (and instructor) to accommodate the surge in the number of participants.  

REGISTRATION IS CURRENTLY LIMITED TO TWELVE (12) players and is strictly on a first come, first serve basis.  You must be paid in full to lock in and reserve your spot for this event.

How It Works......


Eduardo Gil, one of the Prospect Park pros will conduct drills with twelve (12) players two (2) courts.  Drills will focus on basic tennis instruction including doubles strategy volley/approach shots, overheads and serves. Game play will vary according to the skill level of the group and may consist of "king of the court" exercises or outright doubles play with sideline coaching..

  • DIRECTIONS - SUBWAY: (MTA map)
    • F or G Trains to Fort Hamilton Parkway station (exit at Greenwood/Prospect Ave.)
    • Q Train to Parkside Avenue station
  • DIRECTIONS BY MTA BUS:  B-68 Bus along Coney Island Ave. to Parkside Ave.
  • DIRECTIONS BY CAR
    From Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges: Take Flatbush Avenue to Grand Army Plaza, continue on Flatbush, make right on Ocean Avenue, right on Parkside Avenue.

  • • From BQE or Brooklyn Battery Tunnel: To Prospect Expressway, Fort Hamilton Parkway exit. Proceed two blocks and make left on Caton Avenue. Make left on Coney Island Avenue to Park Circle. Street parking is available on Parkside Avenue.
All members will meet in the LOBBY at 6:45 PM (SHARP).  Please arrive promptly so that the court assignments can be distributed and orientation to the facility can be provided to all attendees.  The sooner we go through the formalities, the sooner we get on the courts! 

FOOD/BEVERAGE:

No food or drink will be provided by MTG for this event. Feel free to bring your own drinks but PLEASE be careful on the courts.  Please clean up diligently after yourselves, both on and off the courts.  We are fortunate to play in this tennis complex and we want to maintain a good working relationship with the Prospect Park Tennis Center. Please throw away all waste in the proper bins.  Let’s help preserve the pristine court environment at Prospect Park!.

LOCKERS:

There is a locker room facility with limited availability to lockers.  If you want to use a locker, please remember to bring a lock. 

CANCELLATIONS:  

There is a strict 48 hour cancellation policy for our events.  We  cannot refund any registration fee tendered that were subsequently cancelled less than 48 hours prior to the event.
